«HSE University has made my life as a student very productive»
My name is Faiz Arsyad. I am from Indonesia and work as an Expert in the House of Representative of the Republic of Indonesia/Indonesia Parliament. I am also the recipient of the Indonesian Inspiring Youth award from the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia. Currently, I am a first-year master's student in the agrarian economics program. I just started my studies at HSE University since September 1st. Even though it's only been a while, I already feel very comfortable studying at HSE University, because the facilities are complete and the lecturers here are very kind. Until today, I have gained a lot of new knowledge from an international perspective on agriculture and economics.
Internally, HSE University has many activities that I can participate in as an international student because they use English, such as the HSE Career Marathon, Mathematics Camp from the Faculty of Economics, All the World Festival in HSE University, and many more. There are also many research projects involving students at HSE University, like what I am currently doing, namely research on "The Impact of the Russian-Ukrainian Conflict on Wheat Production and Consumption in the World". In addition, students studying at HSE University are also very open to international students, there is no racism and they help one another.
Externally, HSE University is highly integrated with the global world, such as the Government, Universities and other international institutions. This is evidenced by the many collaborations that have been carried out, such as the student exchange collaboration between HSE University and the University of Indonesia. As a student from Indonesia, I am very proud and honored by this collaboration. Apart from that, I also often take part in international scientific conferences representing HSE University, such as the Russian Agro Outlook, FAO SIDS & Solutions Dialogue, International Day of Export Import, ASEAN-Russia Year of Scientific and Technical Cooperation (ARYSTC), Sustainable Development Goals, International Model United Nations, and many more.
For me, HSE University is an international standard university with advanced technology that is ready to enter the Society 5.0 era and makes it very easy for students to manage educational or non-educational administrative documents. HSE University has made my life as a student very productive by conducting studies, research, conferences, organizations and socializing with other international students. I am very grateful for having the opportunity to continue masters education at HSE University. Hopefully HSE University will be more advanced and worldwide!
